Official Visit of FAMA Malaysia Delegation to Crop Power
Crop Power was honoured to welcome a delegation from the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) to its headquarters in Shah Alam. The delegation was led by Ms. Zuriana binti Mat Adam, Senior Director of Supply Matching Division, and Mr. Firdous Abu Bakar, Director of Supply Matching Division, together with representatives from FAMA.
As a statutory body under Malaysia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), FAMA plays a vital role in strengthening the nation’s agricultural marketing ecosystem and ensuring sustainable food supply chains. As a local producer of high-quality seeds and agricultural solutions, Crop Power sees significant potential for collaboration with FAMA in advancing Malaysia’s agricultural sector.
The visit served as a platform to explore strategic initiatives aimed at empowering farming communities, enhancing agricultural productivity, and supporting the long-term stability of Malaysia’s food supply through sustainable and innovative practices.
During the visit, the Crop Power team showcased several key areas of the company’s operations and development initiatives. The delegation was introduced to the Jom Tanam retail concept, featuring more than 140 varieties of seeds and planting solutions designed for home gardeners across Malaysia and world wide.
The delegation was also given an exclusive tour of Crop Power’s Quality Control (QC) Laboratory, where they observed the rigorous quality assurance processes and advanced technologies employed to maintain seed quality, viability, and consistency.
In addition, FAMA representatives visited Crop Power’s Plant Factory, gaining first-hand insights into the innovative farming technologies and modern agricultural solutions being developed to support the new generation of modern farmers. The facility highlights Crop Power’s commitment to advancing controlled-environment agriculture and promoting sustainable food production for the future.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for both Crop Power and FAMA to exchange perspectives on current agricultural challenges, emerging opportunities, and potential areas for collaboration. Discussions focused on strengthening the agricultural value chain, driving innovation, and creating greater impact for farmers and consumers alike.
Crop Power looks forward to building a strong partnership with FAMA in support of a more resilient, productive, and sustainable agricultural sector in Malaysia.
