Malaysia Farming Awards 2026: Crop Power and FAMA Celebrate Excellence in Malaysian Agriculture

The Malaysia Farming Awards (MFA) 2026 reached an important milestone with its national award presentation held during MAHA 2026 at Kingdom of Agrofood, MAEPS Serdang, celebrating Malaysian farmers and agricultural businesses whose commitment, innovation and achievements continue to advance the country's agriculture industry.

The award presentation was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, at Kingdom of Agrofood, Laman Tiba 1.

Developed by Crop Power Sdn. Bhd. together with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), the Malaysia Farming Awards represents the evolution of Crop Power's earlier My Best Harvest programme into a broader national recognition platform for Malaysian agriculture.

Connecting Agriculture and the Market at Kingdom of Agrofood

At Kingdom of Agrofood (KOA), Laman Tiba 1, Crop Power collaborated with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) to create a vibrant platform connecting agricultural production with market opportunities and consumer engagement.

The showcase reflected an important part of Crop Power’s wider agricultural vision — ensuring that the journey does not end at production, but continues towards stronger market access, greater product visibility and closer connections between growers and consumers.

Through fresh agricultural produce, home gardening solutions, crop displays and interactive activities, visitors were able to experience agriculture from a broader perspective.

The showcase also demonstrated how modern agriculture can become more engaging and accessible to the public while creating stronger awareness of Malaysian-grown produce and the people behind the country’s food production.

By bringing together farmers, industry stakeholders, consumers and agricultural businesses within one space, Kingdom of Agrofood provided an important platform for Crop Power to strengthen connections across the agricultural value chain.

Recognition Beyond Harvest Results
The Malaysia Farming Awards was created with a simple belief: the achievements of Malaysian farmers should be recognised not only by the quantity of their harvest, but by the strength of the entire farming enterprise behind it.

MFA therefore evaluates agricultural excellence across a wider range of criteria including production performance, systematic farm management, certification, technology adoption, innovation, traceability, branding, market development, sustainability and value-added activities. Dewan Ekonomi

This broader approach reflects how modern agriculture is evolving.

Today's successful farmer is not only a producer. A farmer is increasingly required to become a farm manager, technology adopter, entrepreneur, marketer and steward of sustainable food production.

185 Participants from Across Malaysia
MFA 2026 recorded 185 entries from across Malaysia, representing farmers and agricultural enterprises at different stages of development.

Through its Star Recognition Journey, participants were recognised according to their level of development, maturity and achievement, providing opportunities for both emerging farmers and established agricultural businesses to progress towards higher levels of recognition. Dewan Ekonomi

Among the highest recognitions presented were 5-Star Awards, Special Recognition Awards and the People's Favorite category.

The recognised agricultural leaders represented different areas of Malaysia's farming ecosystem, including sweet corn, watermelon, dairy, grain corn, hydroponics and melon fertigation — demonstrating the diversity and growing professionalism of Malaysian agriculture. Dewan Ekonomi

Creating Greater Value for Malaysian Farmers
More than an award ceremony, MFA is designed as a platform to increase the visibility, credibility and market recognition of Malaysian farmers.

Through the strategic involvement of FAMA, recognition can also be connected with wider opportunities in agricultural marketing, promotion and value-chain development.

For Crop Power, the programme represents an extension of the company's long-term commitment to the farming community.

The company's role has grown beyond supplying professional seeds and agricultural solutions. Through farmer networks, field activities, knowledge sharing and industry collaboration, Crop Power aims to help create an environment where successful farmers can be identified, recognised and inspired to progress further.

Recognising the People Behind Malaysia's Food Security
Every successful agricultural industry begins with the people working in the field.

The Malaysia Farming Awards gives these individuals and enterprises a national platform to share their achievements while inspiring a new generation of farmers to embrace better farm management, innovation, technology and sustainable agricultural practices.

Crop Power extends its appreciation to FAMA, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, the MFA evaluation committee, participating farmers, strategic partners and everyone who contributed to making MFA 2026 possible.

The conclusion of MFA 2026 is not the end of the journey.

It represents the beginning of a stronger platform for discovering and celebrating the people who are shaping the future of Malaysian agriculture and national food security.

Together, we recognise excellence. Together, we grow Malaysian agriculture.
