Advancing Malaysia’s Feed Corn Industry Through Better Genetics and Integrated Solutions

Crop Power Sdn. Bhd. marked another milestone in the development of Malaysia’s grain corn industry with the successful launch of two new feed corn varieties — Amazing Star MZ5885 and Amazing Titan MZ6886 — at Rompin Dairy Farm, Pahang.

Organised together with Rompin Dairy Farm, the industry field day brought together representatives from the Department of Agriculture Malaysia (DOA), Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC), Pahang State Department of Agriculture, as well as Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), grain corn industry associations, livestock and dairy industry players, entrepreneurs and farmers from across Malaysia.

The gathering provided an important platform for government, academia, industry and growers to exchange knowledge and explore practical solutions for expanding commercial grain corn production in Malaysia.

At the centre of the event was the introduction of Crop Power’s latest feed corn genetics:

Amazing Star MZ5885
Amazing Titan MZ6886

Developed for Malaysia’s tropical growing conditions, both varieties are selected for strong agronomic performance, including drought tolerance, adaptability to humid and high-rainfall environments, high yield potential and high-energy grain characteristics suited to livestock feed production.

A key characteristic is their Stay-Green genetics, which help the plants retain greener leaf and stalk biomass towards harvest. This characteristic supports biomass quality and provides additional value for integrated livestock and feed-production systems.
